Drug Uses
Zithromax is used for treatment of infections caused by certain bacteria. It may also be used for other situations as directed by your physician.
How Taken
Take Zithromax as determined by your doctor. To clear up your infection completely, take Macrobid for the full course of healing. Keep taking it even if you feel better in a few days. Failure to do so may decrease the effectiveness of this treatment and may increase the risk that the bacteria will no longer sensitive to Zithromax and will not be able to be treated by this or certain other antibacterial medicines in the future.
Additional Information
Zithromax can cause drowsiness, dizziness, blurred vision, or lightheadedness. These effects can worsen if Zithromax is taken with alcohol or certain other medications. Use Zithromax with caution. Don't drive or perform other possibly dangerous tasks until you know how you react to this product. If your symptoms do not improve or if they worsen, notify your doctor. This drug should be used only by the patient for whom it has been determined. Do not use less or more or take it more often than advised by your physician.
