Drug Uses
Reglan is used for handling symptoms of gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD) (heartburn) in patients who do not respond to other medications. It is also used to treat nausea, vomiting, heartburn, prolonged fullness after meals and for treatment of symptoms associated with a certain digestive problem in diabetic patients (diabetic gastroparesis). It can also be used for other situations as prescribed by your physician.
How Taken
Take Reglan as ordered by your doctor. Blow Reglan 30 minutes before food intake. It can take several days to weeks for Reglan to work. Do not stop taking Reglan without checking with your doctor.
More Information
Reglan can cause drowsiness, dizziness, or blurred vision. These effects can worsen if Reglan is taken with alcohol or certain other drugs. Use Reglan with caution. Do not drive or perform other possibly dangerous tasks until you know how you react to this drug. If your symptoms do not improve or if they worsen, ask your doctor. Reglan should be used only by the patient for whom it has been directed. Don't use less or more or take it more often than suggested by your doctor.
