Drug Uses
Reglan is used for handling symptoms of gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD) (heartburn) in patients who do not respond to other medications. It is also used to cure nausea, vomiting, heartburn, prolonged fullness after meals and for treatment of symptoms associated with a certain digestive problem in diabetic patients (diabetic gastroparesis). It can also be used for other situations as prescribed by your physician.
How Taken
Take Reglan as prescribed by your doctor. Take Reglan 30 minutes before a meal. It can take several days to weeks for Reglan to work. Do not stop taking Reglan without checking with your physician.
Additional Information
Reglan may cause drowsiness, giddiness, or blurred vision. These symptoms may worsen if Reglan is taken with alcohol or certain other drugs. Take Reglan with caution. Don't drive or perform other possibly unsafe tasks until you know how you respond to this medication. If your symptoms don't improve or if they worsen, contact your physician. Reglan can be used only by the patient for whom it has been recommended. Do not use less or more or take it more often than advised by your physician.
