Drug Uses
Reglan is used for handling symptoms of gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD) (heartburn) in patients who do not respond to other medications. It is also used to cure nausea, vomiting, heartburn, prolonged fullness after meals and for treatment of symptoms associated with a certain digestive problem in diabetic patients (diabetic gastroparesis). It may also be used for other conditions as directed by your physician.
How Taken
Use Reglan as directed by your doctor. Blow Reglan 30 minutes before food intake. It may take several days to weeks for Reglan to work. Do not stop taking Reglan without consulting with your physician.
Additional Information
Reglan can cause drowsiness, giddiness, or blurred vision. These symptoms may worsen if Reglan is taken with alcohol or certain other drugs. Use Reglan with caution. Don't drive or perform other possibly unsafe tasks until you know how you respond to this drug. If your symptoms do not improve or if they worsen, ask your physician. Reglan should be used only by the patient for whom it has been recommended. Don't use less or more or take it more often than suggested by your doctor.
