Drug Uses
Nolvadex is used for healing of breast cancer that has spread to other sites in the body. It is also used along with other medicines to cure other types of breast cancer. It is used in women who are at high risk for breast cancer and in women with DCIS (after surgery and radiation) to decrease the risk of developing breast cancer. It can also be used for other situation as determined by your doctor.
How Taken
Take Nolvadex with a glass of clear water as directed by your physician. Use Nolvadex with or without a food. Swallow this medication whole. Don't break, crush, or chew before swallowing. Continue to take Nolvadex even if you feel well. Don't miss any doses. Taking Nolvadex at the same time daily will help you to remember to take it.
Additional Information
Nolvadex may cause dizziness. These effects may worsen if Nolvadex is taken with alcohol or certain other drugs. Use Nolvadex with caution. Do not drive or perform other possibly unsafe tasks until you know how you respond to this medication. If your symptoms do not improve or if they worsen, visit your doctor. This product should be used only by the patient for whom it has been determined. Do not use less or more or take it more often than directed by your doctor.
