Neurontin is used for treatment of seizures associated with epilepsy. It can also be used for curing nerve pain associated with herpes zoster (shingles) infection (postherpetic neuralgia). Neurontin can also be used for other condition as suggested by your physician.
How Taken
Use Neurontin as suggested by your doctor. Use Neurontin with or without a meal. Do not take an antacid containing aluminum or magnesium within two hours before you take Neurontin. Do not suddenly stop taking Neurontin. You can have an increased risk of side effects (eg, seizures). If you need to stop taking Neurontin or add a new medicine, your physician will gradually lower your dose.

Do not drive or perform other possibly unsafe tasks until you know how you react to this medicine. If your symptoms don't improve or if they worsen, ask your physician. Neurontin should be used only by the patient for whom it has been prescribed. Don't take less or more or take it more often than recommended by your doctor.
