Drug Uses
Inderal is indicated for treatment of high blood pressure, prevention of angina pectoris (chest pain), management of a heart condition called hypertrophic subaortic stenosis, handling and preventing certain abnormal or rapid heart rhythms, improvement of survival after a heart attack in certain people, curing tremor, prevention of migraine headaches, and treating symptoms of adrenal gland tumors. It can be used alone or with other drugs. It may also be used for other condition as directed by your physician.
How Taken
Use Inderal as determined by your doctor. Use Inderal with or without a food, but it should be taken at the same time daily and consistently either on an empty stomach or with food. Do not use antacids containing aluminum within two hours of taking Inderal. Continue to use Inderal even if you feel well.
More Information
Inderal may cause drowsiness, dizziness, or lightheadedness. These effects may worsen if Inderal is taken with alcohol or certain other medications.
Take Inderal with caution. Don't drive or perform other possibly unsafe tasks until you know how you respond to this medicine. If your symptoms don't improve or if they worsen, contact your doctor. This product should be used only by the patient for whom it has been determined. Do not use less or more or take it more often than advised by your physician.
